How to Prepare Your Files\\

Before sending a file please review this check list:

Are all elements included?

  1. -Layout files
  2. -Placed scan and illustrations
  3. -Screen fonts
  4. -Printer fonts
  5. -PDF file (use as reference)
  6. -All fonts are PostScript
  7. -All fonts are outlined (if sending EPS)

Page size should be defined as final trim size

Be sure that the resolution is set to 300 dpi (pixels per inch) and mode is set to CMYK Color.

We recommend a .25" bleed be included. If your image has a white border on all four sides, bleeds are recommended but not required. If your image is not white on all four sides, you MUST include bleeds in your files.

The cutting process for printed materials has a mechanical tolerance of about .0625 or 1/16 of an inch. When using a border in your artwork, it is essential that your design use at least .25 or 1/4 of an inch of white space from your border to the cut line to maintain a symmetrical appearance.

Color:

  1. Black should be overprint
  2. Pantone color should be defined,
  3. CMYK colors should be defined

Delete items that are left in the pasteboard and no longer needed

Only send later version of the project's files.
